The Lower Manhattan Development Corporation (LMDC) administered the World Trade Center Site Memorial Competition. Through this competition, the jury selected a design for a single memorial that would embody our collective prayers , love, and memories for all who lost their life on September 11, 2001 and February 26, 1993 and for all who were heroes on those days. Though I entered a competition, I did not think if it as such, it was my way of honoring those fallen and their families.
